Our next critical step is commissioning a professional feasibility and economic impact study to evaluate what a 24-lane pool could mean for Whatcom County.
This study will examine community demand, economic impact, regional benefits, and the long-term sustainability of a facility that could serve our entire region.
A study like this is essential. It provides the data local leaders, partners, and potential funders need to make informed decisions about investing in aquatic infrastructure for our community.
We are incredibly grateful to be partnering with Whatcom County Tourism, which recognizes the potential economic and community impact of bringing more indoor aquatics space to our region and has committed funding to support a large portion of this study.
Thanks to their generous support, this important study is more than half funded.
Now we’re asking the community to help us raise another $10,000 to fully fund the study and move this effort forward. This is a crucial investment in the long-term planning for additional indoor aquatics space and will help determine if we can make this a reality for our community!
